Frankly, the idea of eating great sushi after relaxing in a hot spring in a spa in Japan with some arcane cold sake sounds good to Sir Twitalot -- but as I ain't rich and taking the red-eye to Tokyo, I have to find my pleasures in hints of Japanese culture.
So I decided to hunt The Almost Great Democratizer, the name I am calling Twitter this week of electoral rioting in Iran, a country which most likely will have to wait another 8 years for a new President (See United States; 2001 to 2009; similarities of rigged elections, Men in Black Robes in Charge)...
And lo and behold, I found #twitterhaiku I can't guarantee what will come up when you check it out, and while it is in English, versus Japanese, it is a form follows function situation, the 5-7-5 syllabic breakdown, fitting in nicely with the 140 characters.
The topics vary; from commenting on the form, Twitter itself, life, nature, and more.
If anything, you should add one.
