5% of Tweeters Tweet 95% of Tweets! TWOW!

Who's that tweeting at my door?

Well, according to Sysomos - a social media marketing group - it's about 5% of Twitter users
who send 95% of all total tweets.

and then Harvard Business School said about 10% of users send about 90% of the messages.

And Marketers who have the most followers!

The question is - who are the marketers selling to? Just themselves?

William Twitterspeare - Theater Review

A musical in New York that invites audience members to contribute material while it is in action.

The play being, in part, about both the disruptiveness and consuming nature of social media.
The review here seems to dismiss the play, yet readers who saw it, in readers' reviews argue with her.

I would think Twitter will soon be used by improv groups to enhance audience interaction.

Imagine if Hamlet had tweeted when he first saw a ghost.
Or if William Shakespeare had 500,000 followers he twittered. Actually, I wonder if he would have had more than Ashton Kutcher?

Biz Stone - Blog Entry of Sept 12, 2001

An interesting Internet Archaeological Dig done by Sir Twitalot, and spurred on by recent
use of Twitter in Iran revealed this:

BLOG ENTRY BY BIZ STONE - CO-FOUNDER OF TWITTER
On SEPT 12, 2001 day after the World Trade Center was attacked on Sept. 11.

Biz states - "The nation wasn't torn apart by chaos and widespread panic partly because of our access to information. It was great to be able to check who was okay via IM and email when the phones wouldn't work. "

His literal day after angle on the events seems to reveal a single minded focus on his creations, OR a lack of desire or ability to share his feelings with words, OR an inner knowledge that his creation, Twitter, would eventually be helping people in the same manner.

Ahmadinejad Don't Like it - # the Casbah...

Twitteran shall be Iran's New Name!...

... It's the week where Twitter and Facebook changed the course of Iran!....

If we can believe the hype that Twitter (and related social media) have propelled protests, instigated riots, united youth, and most importantly, made public an even greater electoral fraud that Florida 2000 in the US of A.

Some suggest that or argue against it here IRAN'S TWEETS

While some say that nations like US and UK with our technological eroticism are more sexed up for the underdogs (in Iran or Moldovo) using similar tech as ours - we relate to the kids who "text 140" in their twitter accounts and their fight, because it is easier to relate to than the dictatorial leaders.

I think it may be more of the school of MARSHALL MCLUHAN and his infamous "The Medium is the Message." The Democratizing of Communication - allowing swift info outside of controllable channels like state controlled TV - is forcing democratization to be more level playing field. That is why China's leaders controls what filters through their web so much.
