Sir Twitalot feels this fine tweet from homesicklyz, on July 4th, Independence Day in the USA, encapsulates those moments on this holiday that one suffers through.

For July 4th is rarely calm or grounded.

One is always in motion -- to a parade, a barbecue, a fireworks display -- or trying to avoid motion, by lazing about on a deck, at a lake, at a campground, etc. And because of this hyperactivity to celebrate, there are always those moments of detritus, where the imperfectness of life bursts through and makes you realize what silly rituals we have associated with this holiday.

Though as Sir Twitalot realizes today... the founding fathers were gracious enough to declare independence in the summer - so that we could have parades and barbecues. Imagine if we celebrated Independence Day on January 4th. Parades and Barbecues would suck in that kind of cold weather.

homesicklyz keeps it simple, not really a twitterku, thank God, but still poetic...

Sir Twitalot likes the fact that while the most likely way to read it is that the bun and burger, stale and undone, taste like puke in homesicklyz' mouth, you could also imagine her, if she was the singer in a metal or punk band, demanding that you PUKE INTO HER MOUTH to overcome the foul taste already there.
