Fave Random Tweet July 7

On the day of the celebration of Michael Jackson's life at Staples Center, Sir Twitalot has found his fave random tweet from compassionate actor and entertainment industry icon

levarburton

Why, today of all days, would Corey Feldman dress up like Michael???

YES A PHOTO OF LEVAR THAT ISN'T FROM STAR TREK OR READING RAINBOW!

The social media today has been nothing but a flurry of prayers, tears, thanks, and sarcasms about Michael and the event. (CNN.com even had a facebook status crawl next to the show!)

So you had to be special and random to get Sir Twitalot to fave your tweet today.

And so it is this one, by Mr. Burton because 1) he was at the event in person, and 2) it was an honest reaction that I think most people would have to seeing Corey Feldman dressed up as such, and 3) it reminds us of the bright eyed, bushy tailed young Corey Feldman (not the older Hollywood casualty) and his innocent friendship with Michael back in the 1980s.

Also, while Levar is not of the Judaic persuasion like Sammy Davis Jr.

Levar did get a certain tone in his query, one that recalls the Jewish holiday of Passover with its repetitive questioning of "Why on this night...., and Why on this night...." For why on this day did Corey Feldman dress up like Michael???

Sir Twitalot believes it has to do with how as a culture are remembering Michael, not as the tragic figure of recent years, but the shining musical star that he was, when the spotlight had not shown his damage in such high relief. And so Corey's fragile child star psyche, caught up in that remembrance, remembered his time before he was happy to make SAG minimum on The Surreal Life on VH1.

Congrats Levar for tweeting our fave of the day!

And for those who worry, I think the children seem much better adjusted than some of the adults around them. Well, I am concerned about Blanket's bug out eyes, but that was on the Staples stage, so we'll cut the kid some slack.
